I just bought extra OEM chrome grills from a forum member and I intend to paint them gloss black. If I don't like it, I always have my orignial chromes to fall back on.

Given the two options, I would definitely recommend paint matching them. Chrome looks a bit tacky imo. Personally, I would recommend matte black kidney grills. It looks more aggressive and militant. Rock chips and other road hazards would bring the chrome back out if you paint over them.

I like them, but with my trim being shadowline... the chrome is out of place. The Performance grills help to finish what the shadowline started...
