To paint match kidney grill or not

Should I paint match my 2011m pack LCI e90

I just bought extra OEM chrome grills from a forum member and I intend to paint them gloss black. If I don't like it, I always have my orignial chromes to fall back on.

Given the two options, I would definitely recommend paint matching them. Chrome looks a bit tacky imo. Personally, I would recommend matte black kidney grills. It looks more aggressive and militant. Rock chips and other road hazards would bring the chrome back out if you paint over them.

If you do the kiddney grilles make sure to do the lower grilles also to match if they are not already black

I like them, but with my trim being shadowline... the chrome is out of place. The Performance grills help to finish what the shadowline started...
