What am I leaving out when calculating a lease?
I've never considered leasing a car before but I'm starting to think it might be a good idea for me since I never keep a car longer than three years. I tried running the lease numbers with my current car as an example:
Here are the numbers that I used: MSRP $38250 Purchase Price $37500 Residual .61 Money Factor .00125 Downpayment 0 Term 36 months I came up with a monthly payment of $469.59 I know I need to add Tax ($1875), Tags ($140) and Dealer Processing Fee($92). Am I leaving out anything out like some sort of lease origination fee? |

There is a BMW lease acquisition fee that ranges from 625-825 depending on the dealer. The money factor can also have a markup based on the dealer.
There is also a security deposit that maybe asked for. Depending on what state you are in the sales tax is either collected up front and rolled into the cap cost or only the lease payment is taxed. cheers Quote:
