Independant Servicing in Northern England

Where is everybody else from Cumbria/Northumberland/North Yorks going for their servicing. Had a look round and its hard going but searches came up with a handfull of possibilities

Has anybody had servicing ect done by any of the following

Autohaus Diagnostics in York
Mr Vanos in Darlington
Autobahn in Hexham

All guillty of having woefull websites but has anybody any experiences of the above (preferably good !)

Have i missed anybody or should i just hand over the large bag of cash to Lloyds BMW and be done with it !!

I use an independent garage in Middlesbrough where I live (S P Motors). No fancy web site or anything, just one guy but he always did a good job for me. I've only just got my E91 so it hasn't been in there yet but he worked on my E60 530i plenty of times and did a good job.

Not sure if he's worth driving over from cumbria for though, surely there must be some local independent garages over there with the correct diagnostic equipment?

It is crazy, not even a sniff of an Independant Specialist in the County. The joys of living in a sleepy backwater i guess

Someone pointed out Autotech in Carlisle. Seem to have an ex BMW guy according to website and i,m sure they would be OK servicing but i have plans to have a CD Changer reinstalled and can,t see them having the kit to code it to be honest.

Anybody have experience with Batemans at Grange over Sands ?
