Improving the sound stage in an E90?
So I have been doing my research and found a ton of great info. I will probably end up going with a Morel set up as soon as the warranty runs out, Hybrid Ovation II and ADMW 9's under the seats.
But my question is this, is there anything I can do with the stock speaker placement to make the soundstage better? I had Boston Acoustic Pro60's in my daily driver truck, mounted in the kicks and angled properly. The soundstage and sound quality was great as the speakers were close to equidistant. With the 328, there is a definite driver side bias and very little separation since the tweets and mids are so high and close. Would a component 2 way in the 4 inch position help this, having the tweeters off axis as opposed to mounting the tweeters in the pillars? I know the kick panels are pretty much out. Any other tricks in these cars to help? I tried searching around for this but didn't see anything. If there are threads already, please point me in the right direction!

If you have L7, add a tweeter to the center and the vocal image will be right in front of you. If you have HiFi, you are SOL.

Well I am temporarily SOL since I just have the HIFI, but I will be redoing the system shortly. Honestly, call me old school, but I am really not into the surround center channel thing. I much prefer a nice well set up two channel system. I knew I would be giving up a bit when i saw the speaker locations in the car but its a small price to pay for the driving experience.
Anyone else done anything interesting with the midrange/tweeter placement?
