$800 for xenon from dealer??
im currently lookin into buyin an 07 328i and i wanna get xenons but the salesman keeps tellin me that i cant get a car with only xenon..hes tellin me it comes packaged with other stuff..i even asked him why the bmw site has it where you can select xenon by themselves as an option and he said that the cars dont come like that..im wondering if i can get the car directly from bmw with the options i want but i also dont wanna wait 6 months for it to be made though..can anyone help?

on my 325i, it was a standalone option.
review this before negotiating and buying: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=158308

i think he's bs'ing you to make more money, and/or pushing inventory he only has.
my CA was able to find my car on the ship, while in transit to the US. it was to go to another dealership, but my CA did a dealer trade. the only options i have on my car is: steptronic, zsp, and xenon. i would go to another dealer or have a dealer order the exact car you want (think it takes 3 months?).

You can have your E90 anyway you choose to by ordering. The wait is only 6-8 weeks (east coast) and you get what you really want and nothing more (trim, color, options etc). If the CA doesn't want to play that game, try another dealership. Btw special order doesn't entail a cost premium just in case the CA tries that line. A large percentage of us here special ordered our cars. There's a whole section dedicated to order tracking for e.g.
Also look into performance center delivery...

in North America at least, yes it's standard on E92s
to milehigh5000: you've got to do more reading and research before you go into the dealership, because if you don't, you will most certainly come out with a car that you don't exactly want/need with a price tag that's way higher than you expect to pay.

thank you guys I definitely have to look more into some things I can do to lower the price..with the performance and european delivery options do those offer lower prices? will those options work with a lease or do you have to purchase?

Euro delivery is discounted (read up the many posts/threads here) but its really not the point. Peformance center delivery is interesting as you can choose to deal with the entire dealer network in the mainland, since ultimately delivery is in SC. What this means to you is you can easily shop around for the best price and terms. There are many reputable dealerships nationwide, who could and would happily order your car in the least amount of time and at great pricing (like $500 over invoice for e.g.). Btw you're looking at the sedan or coupe. The xenons are standard on the coupe.

Im currently looking at the 328i coupe pretty much standard other than automatic..if it comes down to it where i cant really afford that, ill have to go with the sedan..do you have any dealers that you know of that i can call and would be willing to deal with me with a performance delivery? the performance delivery deal sounds like the best for me since im located in jersey and could easily fly down for not much..that way do i drive the car back home?

milehigh...you could fly down or drive down (one way rental). Its a great experience, a great way to start ownership!
I'm going to PM you my contact here in MD. He's a great guy with good pricing. I have refered a few (even out of state) to him with great success. You can start off enquiries with him.
