Just saved my first 700

Hi guys, had my first puncture this morning on my non runflats. Drove about a km to Tempe tyres and though the nail went in at the edges which is not the best place for a nail to be they fixed it. Offcourse I had my spare wheel too if I was caught out way off.
The main thing, $50 for fixing the Michelin PS2 non runflat tyre didn't hurt as much as possibly $600-700(possibly more?) for a similar 19" runflat.

$50 is a bit on the expensive side. $20-40 is the median. Glad you got it sorted at least.

yupz, they intially told me they wouldn't be able to fix it since went in on the edge of the low profile tyre but then agreed to do it without guaranteeing that would hold, had their best guy do it(if someone ever needs to do it there there's a Filipino guy working at Tempe who they said is the best at fixing tyres, ask for him).
Told me to put in 50psi to stretch the tyre or something(I normally put in 40psi, not sure why 50psi, maybe to test that it holds? They said is to stretch it since the tyre is almost new with lots of thread).

Anyone had a fix put on their 19" tyre with a nail at the edge?

Enjoy playing russian roulette with your safety, i guess its a good thing you dont push your car too hard.....Things people do to save a few $$
lol Rossi, you never fixed a puncture? Would have used a discount voucher but those darned guys at Coles don't give one. A funny story but did you read the article about the former Macquarie bank boss standing in line for his 4c petrol discount, $1000's wasted, thankfully I can afford to be in line, lol

Fuel for thought
John Burn of Mosman writes: "Your indication that Allan Moss is out of tune with the finances of the ordinary man [CBD, yesterday] is not borne out by my observation. Some time ago I stood behind him in a Military Road, Cremorne, service station, on the low-price Tuesday, while he presented on payment a 4c per litre voucher from the supermarket, as did the rest of us in the queue."

It appears fiscal discipline remains important for the Macquarie boss, even on a $33 million-a-year salary. Even if he doesn't know what teachers earn

Should be as simple as what you have already done, but the car I think needs to have the engine running and also be stationary.
