Free Oil Change on your car's birthday???
I've had my 330I for one year now and have 24000 kms.
I contacted the dealer to inquire about my free oil change, however they said that they'll only give me a free oil change when the vehicle's service indicator comes on. My service indicator still says I have 7000 kms to go. I wanna hear your stories, and if all dealers (especially in Ontario) are saying the same thing to you or is it just my dealership. Has anyone got their free oil change after one year in Ottawa? |

I got my free oil change after one year with 15000km on the car.
Funny enough I called to book an oil change after 9 months and 12000km on the car and was willing to pay for it cause I did not want to wait till I reached 25000km but the service advisor I talked to on the phone at the dealership suggested I wait the 3 more months to get the oil change for free regardless if the mileage was under 25000km. This was at BMW Durham which is also owned by the same folks that own Parkview BMW (where I got the car from). Hope this helps.

Damn...am I driving my car too hard? I have only 14,000 km on the clock and my service indicator says I'm overdue for an oil change. Booked it with my dealership already. Hmmm...

My 1 year will be in late May, so I just emailed my SA and copied my CA to get the scoop. I'll post their reply.

My SA told me that I shouldn't wait until the free oil change. He said if I plan to buy out the car after the lease ends, I should do it every 10,000km at most.

Also, check all the fine print in all of your sales documents, I'm sure it talks about the service plan somewhere in there.
