You aren't getting any responses because people are thinking why in the hell would you do such a thing?
Going from OEM projector housings to depos is a downgrade. If you want clear corners, pay someone to crack open and replace the reflector and reseal it. Or buy some overlays. To answer your question, Depos do not have any AHL functionality built-in, so if you did swap them, you'd have errors on your dash.

i know they're a bit of a down grade..in some aspects, but overall i want them because: 1. i dont care too much about the ahl feature 2. the orange reflectors will be gone 3. i will have very bright led angel eyes 4. the change will ultimately yield me +400$ So, with those factors being considered, I'd like to install the Depo projectors into my car. Does anyone know why these are not plug and play for cars with oem xenon ahl? Is it a pin issue? what is it? (i dont care about the ahl error. i can probably get it coded out and if not..it doesnt bother me that much) |

Seriously, I'm telling you, you're going to be so disappointed. It will cost you just about the same to send the headlights to OSS, and you'll get even brighter angel eyes (the ones in the DEPOs are just OK...they're kind of weak sauce), you can have them blacked out, and you can get an amber delete. Come on. The reason people don't want you to do it isn't because we don't know the answer, it's because you're downgrading. It would be like going from a new 5 series to a toyota avalon because you like the floor mats more. That just doesn't make sense.
Now if you really want to get great performance, then contact M.A.C.: http://www.martinoautoconcepts.com/mac.html Expensive? Yes. Worth it? If you have the money--yes. |

When you figure out what to do, I'll trade you my Project Depo90's and some cash for your OEMS I just bought them around 3 months ago but I had to go study abroad so I've barely used them..
They're upgraded with... 1.6000K HID Lowbeams 2.LCI Style LED Turn Signals (the orange reflectors will be gone) 3.LED Angel Eyes (i will have very bright led angel eyes) Lemme know! Last edited by King James; 06-21-2011 at 02:16 AM.. |

I don't know if you're looking for advice, but if I were in your shoes I'd do the following 1. Get the headlamps opened by someone or DIY and replace the amber reflector with a clear one 2. Get some nice AE bulbs that distribute the light evenly, like the Lux's 3. Get the car coded to bump up the voltage on the AE to 13-14 volts. I wouldn't exceed that due to heat issues and possibility of support from the AE vendor. You achieve your mod goals and keep the higher quality OEM projectors! Win win man! If I had more time and more inclined, I'd do some LED AEs myself, kind of like OSS
