Where can i find a dealer that will give me this price.
I am looking to buy a '07 335i alpine white with coral red interior and options that make the total value come up to a little over $47K with European Delivery. I offered the dealership $43,995 and they came back to me with nothing. They didnt even offer any type of discount on the MSRP.
The reason why this pisses my off is my buddy got a space gray 335i that valued over $50K and he didnt do ED and he got the car for $47K after bargaining. Anyone know of any dealers that will give me the car for the price i want. I'm willing to do some traveling. I live in Upstate New York |

1) Buddy is fibbing 2) Dealer fibbed and buddy actually paid MSRP 3) 335 was launch car with miles 4) Sales manager was desperate on last day of month at the 11th hour when your buddy walked in. In which case I hope your friend got everything that was promised to him in the deal because I doubt that manager is there anymore. 5) Buddy is close friend/ related to owner/GM I work at the dealership and had to wait 3 months for mine because of the demand. Our next 5 coupes that are inbound are sold. Hot cars demand a premium in the market. Wait a few months and a dealer might budge. Email me for my price to order yours. Good luck

Now that you can combine European Delivery with Performance Center Delivery, the range of dealerships you can work with is significantly wider (it can be beyond NY). Check the forums for leads. Also check with Irvrobinson our resident ED rep member. From what is shared here, there is not much room on the E92 335is compared to the E90 335is but it doesn't hur to want to get the best possible deal as well. GL.

From the numbers i crunched i figured it was about $1400 over invoice. I I figured there gonna be making out on the financing end of the deal as well and I'm sure there is other incentives in it for them. I told them that if they could give me that price i would buy it right then. When i asked for the deal though i called them on the phone. Maybe if i went there in person they might give me what i want? What do you guys think.

i talked to same salesman that he had and he said that with ED there is nothing else they can do as far as taking anything of the price. He says the price is fixed which from that i understand incorrect. Plus he had two pick-ups that day and seemed pre-occupied with that. So i ended up calling the dealership and talking with another sales rep. He got back to me like 8 hours later and gave me the regular price on the vehicle and acted like he was giving me a deal or something. I guess he figured i didnt know how to do math.
I also noticed the retail prices went up on a few of the options. Do you guys think the same happened with the dealer's wholesale price? |

You can generally get around $1000 over ED invoice on European Delivery. Over at Bimmerfest there's an ED forum and several Client Advisors there that are well versed in ED. You definitely want to do ED from a CA that is very familiar with the process. Irv Robinson is a good bet.

My first suggestion would be use Irv Robinson. He seems to really know his stuff. But I'd definately keep searching. I looked all over Southern Cal when i ordered mine (didn't know Irv at the time) and found MOST dealers where quoting me regular pricing. Than I found Irvine BMW they quoted me ED pricing plus gave me $1500 off. If you want more info I'd be happy to provide.

Invoice is wholesale plus destination plus BMW's now mandatory training service fee.

That's crap. Im getting $500 over ED invoice right now.
you can order the car here (california) over the phone and have them do a courtesy delivery to your local dealer ($600 I believe). That's equivalent to $1100 over ED invoice. Saves about $5000 ver US MSRP. |

I think the biggest problem you are facing in terms of pricing a 335 coupe for ED is that the vehicle has to come out of the selling dealers allocation instead of the ED departments allocation. Since the Dealer can get a premium for the car, there is really no incentive to discount it for a ED.
The benefit for the dealer doing a ED is that it's an extra car for them that is not coming out of their regular allocation. That is no longer the case for the 335i Coupes (for now). Hope this helps. Best Regards, JoeS |
