Ticket in CT ... need help
I received a ticket in CT going to NYC on I-95S and need help with it. The ticket says STC Violation 14298 and it's for $92. I was going 80 in 65 and was pulled over. The officer didn't want to give me a speeding ticket for $254 so he gave me this one. Does anyone know if this goes on the record or insurance? I live in Mass. The section where it says actual speed and posted limit on the ticket has nothing on it. It's just scratched off (/). I am thinking of fighting it only if it goes on the insurance. It's about 2+ hour ride for me so not really worth the $92 if i am 100% certain my insurance won't get effected if i pay.

Sounds like a traffic device (sign) violation, which is a minor moving violation, which means no points. I think the officer cut you a break, pay the ticket and move along.

I think you should fight it. If its a moving violation, definitely try to get rid of it. Its the only way to 100 percent guarantee that your insurance won't premium.
