Stolen rims/ tires in the Philly area

Woke up this morning, walked to my car that I've parked for the past couple years in the lot next to my apartment, and my jaw dropped. All four rims and tires were stolen off my car. WTF? I thought this shit only happens in movies. I don't live in a shady area, the lot is always lit... WTF!

So if any of you living in the Philly/ South Jersey area come across a set of OEM 335i rims and tires on craigslist or ebay or something... give me a PM. I'd love to track this fucker down and repeatedly kick him in the nuts.

You found the car like that?? Ouch.. How did the front bumper and everything else look like? Any other damages? The fucker just left the car on two scissor jacks, or did he use bricks on the other side?

Somebody needs a proper beating.

He/ they used a cinder block for the other side. Fucking dipshit.

Not sure yet if there's any meaningful damage to the brake assembly or front bumper. I guess I'll have wheel locks thrown in with the new set. What's to keep some douche from getting a matching tire iron add-on to remove the wheel lock though? So f-ing frustrating.

Hopefully this guy is a moron and tries to sell them on craigslist...

The OEM ones (style 190?). That's the thing that gets me- the rims aren't even that nice. They had some minor scuffs and scratches when I got the car used a couple years ago. They're even more scuffed up now. It's not like they were really nice, expensive rims.

I'm thinking this was premeditated... the guy knew my car would be there and knew that the area would be dead quiet at 4am or whenever he did this.

I'm in Northern Liberties, near Third and Fairmount. The Neighborhood Watch folks say this is the second car in three weeks. I'm scared that even with wheel locks, this will just happen again... how I'd love to remove this dipshit's pathetic excuse for a sack with a dull, rusty knife.

That sucks. OEM is easier to flip than aftermarket. Prob why they'd jack em. Hope someone finds the low life and beat the shit out of him.

thats terrible OP.
if they wheels and stuff are covered under insurance, then maybe you can get an aftermarket set w/wheel locks?????? or find a set in the buy/sell area and pocket the change from the insurance company.

Damn...Northern Liberties is a really nice area of Philly....although I heard crime is starting to spread back into that area. I'll keep my eyes out man.

Get the OEM alarm too. It's worth it for the tilt sensor alone.

Damn bro that totally blows. People have no respect. Lockers are a good investment. Although it may deter it does not eliminate.

Hopefully insurance will cover this.

Just get aftermarket wheel after insurance pay man. Slap on some wheel locks and mercury switch with a proximity sensor on there and you are set.

Oh man, this really pisses me off. Freaking thieves!

Try to focus on the positive. When this happened to my buddies g35, his insurance gave him around $4k as the oem's were ridiculously priced. He upgraded to really nice 19's and still had money left for a good alarm system. Perhaps you can do the same?

Oh, and if I ever live in a condo or apt, I'm paying extra for a garage!
