My 335i is coming in 2 weeks, got a list and some questions:
Ok so first of all..... i'm planning on getting the clear bra and tint done in the same day.......... so is it better to hold off on zainoing my car untill after i get the clear bra done??? i was thinking i should, since the car is not suppose to have any film on it, correct?
heres my list am i misssing anything? and where can i purchase this stuff? 303 protectant for rubber and plastic zaino leather cleaner (actually running out of zaino, do they have a kit that has everything?) poor boyz wheel sealent now i use 100 cloth towels on my black tacoma... works great... but i heard to buy micro fiber???? where can i purchase this as well? and should i wash the car w/ the micro fiber stuff as well... i hear sponges are bad although i've use that for 10 yrs...... btw i love zaino, my truck looks new all the time cause of it, and its black! thanx for all the help!

Yeah, wait till after the clear-bra to Zaino. To adhere the film, they'll need to strip any wax from the front of the car anyways... so why do the work twice.
303 Aerospace Protectant can be picked up at Murry's/Autozone/etc. Zainostore.com has all your Zaino needs, and yeah they have kits available. Pakshak.com should have the Poor Boyz, as well as more MF towels then you'll know what to do with. I use a sheepskin mitt on my car. At the same time, if you've been using sponges for 10 years and your black truck looks great, it obviously works.

Are you planning to do the prep yourself? If you haven't, I really think you should call your dealer and tell them not to prep the car that way you can keep it swirl free!

pakshak.com
exceldetail.com autogeek.net danabe.com etc.. You can find Microfiber anywhere these days, the quality will vary though. You can even find MF @ Walmart or Costco. |

Oh, I'd clay bar your car before you get any work done. Getting the girl's IS done this next weekend, tomorrow we will clay, polish, & wax.

yeah man clay bar that thing first to get things like rail dust out before they lay down the clear bra. you want to make sure its clean so you don't seal in any contaminants with the bra.

^^^I dunno if I'd get it done at the dealer. Look around for a VentureShield installer, I've heard good things about the Lamin-X VentureShield clear bra. Either way, it's going to look better than rock chips and pitted headlights!

ok here's what i've heard about ventureshield vs. 3M, i found this info from just doing some searches on here:
VentureShield: Thicker and therefore resists impact from road debris better. 3M: Thinner and scratches easier but maintains the "factory orange peel" in the paint. Both 3M and VentureShield won't fade or yellow. Both let the paint breathe (the paint under the clear bra won't fade at a different rate than the rest of the car).
