Options for hifi upgrade

Hi guys

I have a 335i with stock hifi. It isn't quite up to the mark and am considering spending $2-3,000 to improve/upgrade it.

Any suggestions where I should look to get this done ?

I am in Sydney.

Thanks for any suggestions
Cheers

For a topend install, it's hard to go past FHRX studios. Only downside is they are in Caringbah (which might be really far depending where you're from)

Go have a chat to Marty and his team, tell them what you want out of the system, what your budget is and they'll work something out!

If they start to get a bit carried away remind them you only want to spend 2-3k lol

Also, will this void my warranty if I get speakers replaced, an amp added etc ?

just doing some research on warranty issues if I get someone to upgrade my stereo. I presume it is only the stereo warranty I void, not the whole car warranty ?

Anyone with experience of this ?

Cheers

You're correct, if you're HPFP fails there's no way BMW can claim engine failure due to an upgraded stereo.

As for your earlier question if they've done any work for me, actually they haven't.
A few years ago there's used to be 3 real top end hifi places in Sydney... FHRX, Precision car audio and Crankin' Car Audio... I got stuff done at Precision, till they closed down. I then got my stuff done at Crankin, till they closed down... next time I need stuff done, I'm going to FHRX.
It's a tough business, the high end car audio industry, especially when kids just want doof doof for as cheap as possible which is why JB hifi/strathfield car radios is doing quite well, however they are in a different league to a PROPER car audio installer like FHRX and as the only remaining high end place around, it's where I'll be taking my car next time I need something done.
