Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Looks like I wont be an another BM as I had hoped.

Took wifey out last night in a desparate bid to reconcile her and she saw, drove, loved.......and provisionally bought.

A

Nissan X-Trail.

Thats all.

Really?

You think an X-Trail is ok?

Personally, it offended me but I can see it from her perspective. It looked alright.....is very well specced and is a big family wagon. S'pose it feels safe too with great visiabilty (if you ignore the four miles of car behind your front seat) but hey......reversing camera always gets my vote.

Just, not exactly the joy machine though.

I feel for you man. I went the other way, test drove a Qashqai and got a BM.

Not overly keen on the X-Trail's looks. Prefer the Murano over it.

My dad's got one. He loves it. But he's 72 And he doesn't mind the door handles scraping on the road when you go round a corner.

That said, it handled everything we could throw at it during the bad winter. And I mean everything. Snow so deep you thought 'Not a chance' but it never missed a beat.

There is always one eh?

Seriously.

Let me know if you need a tow up a 0.0002% incline when it rains though mate and you are stranded in your Clairol 4x4

To be fair, wifey didnt exactly get the "ultimate driving machine" thing.....she just thought it was pretty.

Less so when NI faced a full on -15 degree polar oblivion scenario and had to abandon ship (or should that be shit?)

LOL.

Winter tyres. They're the future.

On topic: So. You've bought a pile of poo chelsea tractor (Does that expression work in Northern Ireland? ) because your wife made you.

I therefore have this to add:

That is all.

There's a good cure for that, the rubbing of said thumbprint with your own testicles. You've just got to persuade her to take them out of her handbag and lend them back for a few minutes

I say that because my dad has one too ahaha and yeah it is very well specced! Shame that the old man doesn't actually drive his 7 series as often as the X trail but I guess he loves an off road moment, something the 7 series may not cope as well on.

I deserved that Don't knock the off-road capabilities of the X5 its not its fault that it doesn't like slight cold level roads

Very funny, more so coming from someone who wears a ball and chain, and under the circumstances, would typically lack a sense of humour
