XI with K&W V1

Looking for someone local to give me a ride in their XI with K&W V1 for a few blocks so I can experience the setup before installation.

Also recommendation on a local shop for installation. I was thinking Matt@cambertoe.

I would but my coils are still in CA getting serviced... The ride is good once you don't try to go "slammed" like most people prefer. In NYC you'll be hitting bumpstops all the time...

Is that why you're getting your coils serviced? I want less of the floaty boat feeling but don't want to slam the car or have to service them regularily. I plan on setting them on the highest height. Wanna gimme a ride when you get your coils back? where are you getting them reinstalled?

V1's are height adjustible, and the shocks are better than stock, but not adjustible, so it may be worth the investment in v2/3's so you can get the dampening exactly as you would like

KW V2's are not available for the XI. V1 or V3.

I'm getting them serviced because I hit a really bad pothole on the Grand Central which ended up bending the two front strut rods (just slightly according to KW). The car still drove fine but before transferring them to my new car I wanted them like new. Spoke to KW, they should be finishing them sometime soon (they were waiting for the rods from Germany).
I got mine installed in 2009 by Tazo at TKX Motorsport. He does pro work and is a cool guy. You can Google their website. I may be a returning customer... we'll see. I also work with Matt too so I've got a conflict of interests here.

Once I get them installed, I definitely wouldn't mind giving you a ride. I can't say for certain when I will have them though. They've been in CA for almost 2 months now.
