Talking It's good to be back.....

After almost 2 Years since I sold my e90 330d MSport and sampling life with a Q7 and CLK 320 I have returned a happy man to the BM fold in the shape of an E93 330d M Sport in Carbon Black and can't stop smiling....it is very good to be back. That instant turn in, fat steering wheel and planted feeling of a proper drivers car has been sadly missed. To be honest I almost forgot how good the E9x were.

I test drove a E Class 350CDi Sport Convertible with intention to buy and despite being a better looking car than the E93 IMO it just didn't set the pulse racing in the same way a BMW does. That's before the inevitable remap :-)

I'll add some photos later after a decent DIY detail this weekend weather permitting. Just bought a Conv I just know it's going to pi££ down all weekend lol.

Good to see your back.

So, how was Audi & Merchant ownership then; good/bad/indifferent?

The Q7 is a safe place to be. Ridiculously expensive to run on 21" RS alloys. £1100 for a set of 4 tyres that last 7,000 miles, 23mpg (remapped) average over past 20,000 miles. BOSE stereo is about the only thing I'll miss. It was my better halfs choice.

Still have the CLK 320 (2002 W209). Great car great engine with all the toys and very comfortable but heavy on the juice (although comparable for a 3.2 V6) and steering lacking a bit of feel. I'm looking to trade for a 4/5 Year old 530d MSport as I drive 30,000 per Year and will share the E93 with my wife.

Need a decent size car for family though

E350CDi Conv was very stylish and quiet for a rag top. Drive was good but not fantastic IMO. Sales Guy at Stealer was akin to a certain Dick Turpin with a smile on his face.
