Logging for efficiency calculations
Calculating improvements in pressure loses and temperature changes requires some measurements before and after the compressor, before and after the intercooler, etc.
Which Procede logging parameters are suited for some of these? For example, there is lot of effort into changing intakes, filters, etc and sometimes dynos are done to measure improvements. It seems there should also be a measure of the change in vacuum created in the intake to determine the affects of a filter change. A change in the intercooler should include a measure of the pressure differential before and after as well as the temp. delta. So which of the logging parameters do we have? Intake Air Temp log would be the temp after the intercooler so one would need to suppliment with measuring the temp before the intercooler via another method. Of course I can read the list but like everything else nothing is documented and forum searching leads to hours of frustration in learning how to use the Procede features. |

If you go check out the cp-e site they have a whitepaper summarizing their FMIC testing and product development. They put alot of effort into testing pressure and temperature drop, and found a happy medium. Lot's of engineering whent into the product, hence why it's on my car
As for the other parts of the intake system, you're on your own and would have to add your own sensors. |
