need some help with a aftermarket radio

Went to a shop today and they were telling me that its going to take a lot of work to put my dvd/cd player in replacing the stock radio. they said because of the fiber optic cable they need to rewire everything to get it in an to install the amp,an subs. Does anybody know if there is a easier way to get this in?
Please somebody help their telling me that its a 16hr job at $60hr

If they do rewire all the speakers, have to deal with the amplified antenna & want to "own" the potential future electronic issues with your car.... then yes 16hrs isn't unreasonable. As long as it's quality work.

I recently had an issue with my electronic steering lock. I will have to plug my factory stereo back into the car so that they can pull the necessary codes from it. I now know why JSpira is always knocking the removal of the factory stereo.

I'm now considering putting the factory deck back in and using a Rockford 3Sixty to get some quality outputs.
