OK to use baby wipes on exterior?
Here's an odd ball question. I've heard of people using baby wipes on their interior. Is it bad for the paint to use it on the exterior? Specifically, I have a nice big bird s**t on my hood, and I'm not going to have time to wash the car until this coming weekend. I was thinking about using a baby wipe to remove it. Thoughts? Am I crazy, ignorant, or both?

If it's stuck on there, soak a paper towel in water, fold it into a square just bigger than the poop, and set it on top of it. Leave it for 5 minutes or more. The bird poop will soften to where you can gently lift it off. Then QD the area to clean the water drips or any minor stuff left, and use a plush MF towel.
Someone here on e90post mentioned this technique, and it works great. I have to deal with bird poop all the time (no garage) and this is the best way I've found to deal with it, besides washing the whole damn car. Don't use baby wipes!

QD = Quick Detailer. It's a "spray and wipe" product to lift up dust and dirt before you wipe it off with a plush MF towel. It is meant for spot treating an otherwise clean vehicle.
Here are some QD products: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/quick-detailing.html Many of us use Zaino products -- those of us who do typically use Z6 for QD: http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...roduct_Count=9
