I am considering a set of wheels for an E90 with the following dimensions:
- Front: 9J x 19 et37
- Rear: 10J x 19 et25
Plugging those values into the wheel fitment calculator reveals the following:
- Front:
16mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 10mm
- Rear:
7mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 31mm
The rear extension sounds worrisome. Even with these numbers, I still don't know whether these wheels will fit. I'd appreciate some help figuring out what the actual tolerances are, and whether I can safely pursue purchasing such a wheel.
