SEPT 3 MEET - Birmingham, Alabama
Final details:
We will be joining the large monthly cruise-in that occurs in the Wal-Mart parking lot. There are several other establishments in the area that the show often spills into. Sorry I haven't been as active putting this together as I started out with intentions to be. Some family health issues have arisen that have taken away a lot of my time and attention. There is a chance I may not make this meeting, but here is the plan: Meet at the Olive Garden across the street from the main cruise-in: 20 S Colonial Dr #8 Alabaster, AL 35007 Meet there Sept 3 at 4pm. At 430 we can all roll over to the main cruise-in and park together. Check in in this thread and confirm you'll be there so we don't leave anyone behind. Tried changing thread title, still says Sept 10 on forum page. Hopefully people read it. Sent request to mods to change title. Last edited by wren57; 08-30-2011 at 11:44 PM.. |

Nice! Yes, it was fun and I know others would've like to have been there. Location was fine. I'll put the word out to my friends.

I should be able to make this one. Don't know about anybody knows, but TK is starting to get a bad rep with locals. But if everyone doesn't mind, then I am up for it.

I'm not sure if I'll be Birmingham or Austin during the meet but I bought a few mtech parts and was curious if anyone has a recommendation for where to get them painted or should I consider going to Atlanta.

The Wal-mart shopping center area (promenade I think?) in Alabaster always has car events. It is a big parking lot and sometimes people hang out by the Dairy Queen. There is a Buffalo Wild Wings and Papa Saia's there too. I see car shows there from time to time, mostly american/muscle but we could invade with the Bimmers sometime!

this is the car show held the first saturday of the month so it would be a different weekend than the 10th. this is definitely a big lot to park in and lots of places to eat and hang out around there. but I'm fine with wherever.

Well TK has some really bad service from what I hear. I know one of the co-owners who has pulled out of the partnership he had with the rest of his partners, because they are loosing money like crazy. I live like 2 minutes away from Acton Road, so that would be convenient to me. But anywhere local would be good.

I'm cool with that. Would probably steal foot traffic from the younger crowd to our cars.

What time does the cruise-in start? I think we should meet up an exit away or so and all roll in together. I'll start a new thread and send out PMs to everyone with details and a link.
I just hope I have my OSS lights back by then. Otherwise I'll be showing up in a stock Civic. |
