Swapping Shift Knob today

I just wanted to check with everyone one last time before attempting to change my Auto shift knob. I'm replacing the stock knob with a new OEM wood insert knob.

The procedure is put shift lever in Drive, grab and firmly pull straight up, making sure not to hit myself in the face in the process, correct?

Hmm...I dunno about that...I never did a gear shift swap on an automatic before. Only manual...

just pull up..thats correct. make special note that you dont hit yourself in the face. dont forget that in the heat of the moment

From my manual tranny experience...don't hit the rear view mirror either...
