COBB AP: Alternate Throttle Map Question

Searched through this forum, Cobb website, Cobb forum...and maybe I am just a plain dumba** for even bringing it up, but it seems like with the different throttle maps (standard vs v2 "aggressive-linear") comes into play at different times. Which leads me to ultimately ask...Does the overall power output OR timing vary between standard vs v2? Also...for the frugal COBB AP users out there...Does the fuel economy change per throttle map...?

Seems like the standard throttle map - ALL HELL surge of power practically instantly felt in one big ol' lump would be more "fun" and maybe more ideal for DYNO runs, the drag strip, and for spirited driving. (I feel a major amount of torque and power on the bottom end all throughout the powerband) - My thoughts and assumptions are that this throttle map may be the more fuel friendly one...just a hunch.

Seems like the alternate throttle map v1 or v2(more my taste) - smooth, constant, gradual, linear (stock feel) would be more ideal for autoX, the twisty bits or road, mountain passes, and grand touring. (Seems to be a much more gradual onset, 1800rpm-2500rpm very tame and then more and more boost comes in from there)

Ignore this if you guys haven't experienced this...sorry!

I think that pretty much sums up the way I feel it. For tracking the car, I won't run anything but 2.02 v2 as it modulates the throttle much better.

As for gas mileage, it all depends on your right foot, not the tune. On a long trip, I've averaged 30 mpg. While driving around town, I'm getting between 22~23 mpg.

Cobb has updated maps v3 for automatics. I just installed them. Seems to work more smoothly.

I have a 2007 E92 6MT and combined I average 22.8 MPG over the last 1000 miles. This was mostly on ACN91 standard map 202. I will probably stick on it 75% of the time, as it is my secondary fun weekend car.
