Yes, have it for 2 weeks now. You'll notice the first time you take for a spin. Instant power increase at a mere 30 sec. install.

I got my turbo tuner installed last thursday. The total time it took to install it was about 1 minute. But wow what a difference it makes. I've had my car for a month and have gotten used to the HP and TQ, after I got the turbo tuner the car feels alot quicker at WOT. Also the fact it can be quickly taken out when the car goes in for service is a big plus. Have fun when you get it

I guess that's the best part of the whole deal with TT other than the power it makes is the convenience that you have. Specially with all the fuel pump issues going on with the 335 you can take it out any time before taking to the dealer.

I'm still weary about this product since a few people who installed them and hit the dyno said that they were running pretty lean. I still don't understand how this thing compensates for the extra fuel that you need without any fuel tables or anything, and with the lack of info that is out there I don't know how you could just install it and hope that you will be ok. I would at least install a wideband on my car and see what was going on with the A/F's.

Just got mine in the mail today!! Went right to the car and installed it over lunch. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to lift up the plastic release and disengage the plug without riping out my fingernails...but after that, no issues. Ten minutes tops.

Didn't have the time to test drive it as much as I wanted to....the drive to the house was too short of a distance with limited stretches of road. Will have to check it out this weekend on the autobahn and send up a report later. Initial gut check...love it. :rocks:

The way I understand it, it lets the car's ECU compensate.

I've seen the power, torque and A/F graphs. The power/torque closely mimic the stock ones but with higher numbers. The A/F graph was almost identical to stock, which is what raised some concerns here among people who think a car that boosts more should have a richer A/F ratio at low RPMs. The stock car runs leaner than other previous models, because of the direct injection. At the same time, there doesn't seem to be any evidence that TT causes timing retardation due to pinging, so who really knows...

So anyway I didn't get the feeling that people could really say it was a bad thing, as long as the power/torque increases are reasonable. Just my personal feel of course...

I'd be willing to give it a go at some point.

High Precision fuel Injection, I think, is the result of getting slightly lean to 15:1/14:1 at low rpms and then richens slowly to 12:1.

Homogenous Mixture Formation - A homogeneous mixture means that the A/F ratio is stoichiometrically controlled much in the same way as a manifold injection system. This means that the A/F ratio mixture is evenly spread throughout the combustion chamber. One of the primary advantages of this arrangement is that a conventional three way catalytic converter can be used. Also, the sulfer content of fuel is not a factor which allows the engine to be used in all global markets. Currently, BMW only uses engines which operate in this mode. The N73 and N54 both operate mostly at Lambda = 1 (14.7:1) (2007 Engine Technology BMW training manual)

In full power mode, the air-fuel mixture is homogeneous as well and contains the minimum mass of fuel over the amount required for stoichiometric that is possible to ignite without knocking out, as defined by the compression ratio of the engine and the mass of air in the combustion chamber. The fuel is injected during the intake stroke. This mode activates at high load conditions and provides maximum output and torque. (Answers.com)

We have to think and learn how direct injection works, especially BMWs High Precision fuel injection and that this is not an injector in the intake manifold. Direct injection is just way more efficient so most of atomized fuel is burned up and used to make energy.

It's been said before and I don't see how anyone can disagree with it: The fueling strategy that we see on a stock car is fine for a stock car. Anytime you bump up boost by 3-4psi and make no fuel changes (new AFR targets), you're on your own.
