My 335 feels slow now

i'm at 7600 kms, had the oil changed at 6000km and i've done nothing to the car except cosmetics and for some reason it's a lot slower now

i feel reduced throttle response
and the car doesn't pull until 3k

at first i thought i had just gotten used to the car but when i traded 335's w/ a friend i noticed that his car was faster and he noticed that mine was slower.

so im in a real pickle here... no check engine lights or anything.

got any ideas?

i would take it to the dealer and tell them what you stated here. No need to lie about a check engine light. if they are a good dealer they will go through the car anyway.

i mentioned these problems when i brought the car in for an oil change but the guy said it felt fine when he drove it, which is pretty much bs because all he did was put it into first and drive it into the garage or w/e.

After Driving My Vehicle For 2 Months. I Felt Like It Slowed Down Alot. I Thought Maybe It Was Just Me. Can This Really Be A Fuel Pump Issue? I'm Considering To Have My Car Dynoed To Know Exactly Whats Going On. If It Puts Out Around 260-275 Hp To The Wheels Stock Then Obviously Its Just Me Getting Used To The Car.

I had to install a boost gauge in my car because i thought my car wasnt boosting properly. Funny enough my car got faster.

Go rent a Hyundai. They claim to be better than a BMW 525i. Drive it for a week. Don't cheat and drive your car. Return the Hyundai. Go back and drive your 335i. Enjoy how much faster your car got by sitting in your driveway.

that's what i thought too, but i drove my friend's 335 the other day and it felt faster... so i have no idea what's going on.

but +1 on the boost gauge thing. i guess even when i drove my friend's car my mind was already set that there was something wrong w/ my car and so it made the experience in his car feel faster.

i think im still going to get bmw to look over it though. thanks guys!

There are two tests that can be run on a fuel pump to determine if its working properly. The pressure test is run when a pressure gauge is put inline with the fuel pump and the car is running. The second is a volume test where the pump is run for a predetermned time and the volume of gas is measured. This is science. You don't have to go by a feeling.

Now my E46 330ci has this problem consistently. So maybe....

Ok, I know its a 330ci and you have a 335i. But gotta say both are BMWs and I would be very surprised if the go pedal electronics are any different at all. Probably same pedal, solenoid, module etc. Now my 330 is a rousy P.O.S (Yes its true. Love BMW and even got the 335i coupe, but no lie my 330 if only it could tell tales...) so maybe this does not apply to the newer cars. But I have had this crap happen over and over and I gave up fixing it. It doesn't get much worse than just slowing the car though. Its drive by wire pedal. The voltage reading from the solenoid on the pedal is off when compared with the throttle position sensor. Trust me, my dealer thought I was hearing voices first time I complained, but turns out (they don't know why either), every time they replace the damn sensor and throttle solenoid, it fixes the issue, and the voltage reading moves in synch when you accerelate the car (Yes then can be tested with the car stationary through the ODBII port). It only takes couple thousand miles for the problem to reccur though, so you just get used to the sluggish throttle. Sometimes its so bad the voltage is off by 50%!!! And car is real slow then. But for some weird reason it never gets much worse than that. This readily show up in their diagnostics computer as a defective accerelator. I think its actually something else that triggerings it, but have no idea what. Get your car checked. This only started happening in my 330 when I was close to 90K miles. IMO its unacceptable in brand new vehicle. Go get checked.

Just curious, how long does it take you to type a couple sentences like that with the first letter of every word capitalized?

Actually, I think some computers are set like that, especially office ones. I've had that experience before lol. Quite strange, and it's rather weird reading my writing where I type lower case but it shifts itself...

Actually If You Type It All In Caps, The System Will Only Cap The First Letter Of Every Word. Give It A Try.
