Braman Motors Review
I just left my e92 at Braman BMW and I'm feeling kinda nervous. Just this feeling im getting that they're gonna try and rip me off or screw me over. Has anyone ever left their bimmer here? If so what were your experiences?

worried about leaving it with a dealer? what reason do you have to doubt them?
Dealer prices are always gonna screw u over, apart from that just keep an eye on the mileage lol

I recommend Lauderdale BMW in Pembroke Pines. Great service and A + treatment

Getting my transmission looked at. Just got the voice mail from the service writer. I'm almost sure they're trying to fuck me again. I just got quoted $2,000+. I'm headed to the dealer to pick my car up now. I'll post symptoms when I get back.

Braman on Okeechobee Blvd in WPB is my main dealer. However though after all these years I never had a problem with them until now. My car has been with them for over a month now .
Why its taking so long ? Well I personally think due to the sensitivity of the problem, not fault related to me, they are putting my car on the side to work on other cars and then back to my car and then back to another car etc. There is no way in hell its taking them over a month to fix the existing problem while being dedicated 100% in hours everyday. My SA is the best SA you can have. I swear they every change my SA or he leaves I will kick Braman to the curve. That is how much I appreciate my SA. Quote:

PLEASE READ! you may be able to help
So here's the story: A few weeks after I purchased my car (December) the transmission has been acting a little strange. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=494157 It does it every now and then, rarely, but never is there a code. Finally, two weeks ago I started the car and on the dashboard it said 'Caution-Care can be put into gear with out brake pedal being depressed' So I tried it into REVERSE and sure enough it did and with a CLUNK then I tried DRIVE and it CLUNKED then I had an error on the dashboard "transmission malfunction... yada yada yada" and the transmission went into limp mode cause it didnt shift out of that one gear it stayed in. I simply turned the car off turned it back on and had ALL SYSTEMS OK, it was like nothing ever happened. This happened twice. So this tells me it ISNT hardware. I think its software. Last week (Thursday) I took my car just to find out how it worked and what not, and one of the SA told me that if I want to get work done that same day, I would need to leave my car there for the weekend. So I told him I'll just bring it into come in the following week (this week) so I can take it home the same day. So I take the car today, the SA tells me the diagnosis will be about 2-3 hours, the car was in by 8AM, he ended up calling me to tell me the diag was done at 1:41. He told me the car need a new valve body... quoted $2000+ fuck the bullshit...

I have not had any issues with Braman in Miami. I actually switched from South Motors BMW to Braman and have not had any issues.

Well, I'm sure they have their good's and their bad's, from techs to service writers to sales-men, but I guess I just got the worst of the services whenever I call and/or go. Oh well

Hell yea they are expensive but it cant be more that a 3 hour job if the oil pan is directly on the bottom side of the trans. And my car doesn't even need a valve body, W(hy)TF would the computer reset (or car act like nothing ever happened) when I turn it off and back on. The only way I would believe the valve body is faulty is if the tcm or tcu (or whatever the hell manages the transmission) is taking a shit and inside the actual valve body.

I dont see why it would be though, unless there's some kind of electrical part to it. I mean, I don't think it's a mechanical component cause if it were it wouldn't reset every time I turn the car off and back on. I'm out of warranty
