Check your license plate illumination lights and all your interior lights, including footwell. Could perhaps also be one of your courtesy lights.
That warning came on when one of my license plate bulbs went out. Great excuse to upgrade to LEDs ![]() |

Just wondering if anyone ever found a fix for this issue. It has been happening to me and I can't seem to fix it. All turn signal lights work as do every other light, including interior. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Interior lights are not monitored by bulb checks - so don't waste your time looking at them for a burned out bulb when you get an error...

Yeah i didn't think so, but it didnt hurt to check. The error light is still on and it's driving me nuts. If anyone has found a fix for this, please post. Thanks.

I just got a 'passenger parking light malfunction' warning, my LUX 4 went out on my passenger side(last time was the driver side, then the passenger side not too long ago). I want to check the fuse first and see.
How do I know which fuse is the passenger parking light? The fuse box is located in the glove box behind the removable panel, right? I think I remember seeing it when running the USB cable through.......Just want to make sure. TIA

The fuses in our cars vary depending on your options/trim/year you just need to pull the ones labeled with pictures of light bulbs there is only a few.

The Answer!
I have the answer!
The code is actually for the little bulb in the inner angel eyes on the headlights. It's the light that comes on when you put the car in reverse or put a turn signal on (not the actual amber turn signals. And this is only for cars with xenon adaptive headlights. I'll post a pic if you guys want. Here is the part number for the bulb: 63 21 7 160 779

Got the code issue too! Grrr
Hey guys, I have been to BMW twice in 3 months and they are telling me that I need to let them swap the whole light assembly for this. I thought it was my rear bulb that was causing it and I swapped the whole rear assembly myself (youtube) but it still on. Anyone got a photo of the exact place? Thanks
