UUC SSK

Have a couple questions:
1. Just installed UUC SSK and a bit disappointed with the throw reduction...doesn't seem to be their claimed 35%. Anyone feel the same?
Had the B&M shifter before this but didn't like how noisy it was, but had significantly shorter throws compared to the UUC.
2. Sits slightly towards passenger side. Had a couple mechanics look at it and they said it was installed properly (They said it would be worse if rotated 180 degrees). The B&M shifter had the same problem too. Anyone have the same issue?

I've heard tgat if it sits to the passenger side then it's installed improperly. Do a search on it. I can't as I'm on my phone.
