JB4 Install...confused!

Hey guys...i'm installing the JB4 and i'm currently on the last step. I inserted the new RED wire into the green box and plugged the ORANGE wire into the female RED. There is still a small thin RED wire that is coming from the thicker RED wire. Can anyone please tell me where this is supposed to go?

I attached a picture that will show you exactly what i'm talking about.

I'm pretty sure it goes inside the green box, check n54tech forums it should have a video on there

Looked on the website couldnt find a video. Dont think it goes into the green box though...the thicker red cable goes into the green box. It's the thinner red cable that i'm unsure of.

Doesn't it provide the power for the JB4?

that goes into the JB4 harness. I am guessing you bought an upgrade kit.

Yes correct...i did buy the upgrade...but no instruction on where this wire/cable actually goes. Any help please?

to be fair, you pay for Terry's customer service. He would have directed you the same way I did, just via e-mail, just as quick

Understood, but that should go for any business owner that wants to maintain his/her business. Personally i think this looks rather difficult to do...one wrong wire can mess up a lot i'm sure. I'll reach out to Terry about this though.

The wire should be connected to the JB4 harness. If it isn't, e.g. you're doing a JB3->JB4 upgrade, you have to rewire the harness. Review the upgrade kit directions on BMS' site and its posted here in 3-4 threads.

Directions are all on there website..if they can charge less for the product because they don't have to print instructions (cuz they post them all online) I think it is a great business idea.

Again, email Terry, I have written emails to him that go back and forth quicker than texting!!

100% true. Look at the install manual too. It changed for the jb4. It should be pretty clear.
