Its really hard to get the trim back in if you don't remove the seal first. But it's also really easy to bend the metal strip inside the seal.

If you want to drive out to jersey I can help you out. I'm free pretty much all week.

Well I'm the one who posted that second link you hot linked too. lol I know it's hard to re-install it.

BTW, figured out it was because I did it in the winter. When summer came, paint expanded I guess and started to chip

I'll PM you my number.

Weekends work too.

Just a little off topic but I wanna change my window trim from chrome to glass black. Whether it's done with gloss vinyl or painted doesn't matter much to me. I have a e90. Does anyone know where I can get this done relatively cheap in the tristate area. Thanx in advance. Btw since having my car for this forum has really helped me a whole bunch... Such great helpful people on this site and I just wanted to give serious thanx for this cool down to earth community helpful people this site has

Just had my chrome trim blacked out at Impressive Auto in Maspeth, Queens. They did a great job and it looks awsome. I went matte black but he can do gloss as well. I'm om LI as well but traveled to John at Impressive based on guys here. He located right off the LIE...
