How to test xenon adaptive lights?
Hey guys so I just got done installing my custom LED angel eyes but I got an adaptive headlight warning on my car.
![]() At first it was both headlights. They were both not sealed correctly. Sealed them up and now they do not get fogged up inside. However the driver's side has a problem during the self check. It tries to do the self check but clicks a few times and them dips down. Anyone know how to test the movement of the beams through inpa or ista etc? I believe the smc or alc control units got some condensation on them, throwing the errors. The passenger side had less condensation than the drivers side. Either that or the ball joint at the end of the servo motor for side to side motion is disconnected. I've pulled my headlights and bumper numerous times....I'm kinda of annoyed. ![]() |

Found the culprit. It's the SMC II module. When the housing fogged up, I fried the SMC II module on the driver's side.
Swapped it with the passeneger side and the code followed it. Anyone have a damaged set of xenon adaptive housings? Can I buy the SMC II module from you? Also this module needs to be coded. Anyone know if it has to be coded to a specific car? If so, anyone know the process? Last edited by fdriller9; 08-07-2011 at 12:38 PM.. |
