Anyone have one? Pics?

My gf hates white LED lights... she says they don't feel warm... I might try out an amber kit as well if there is one.

You rang
Hit up sales@highperformancebulbs.com see what he says. I'm sure he can get it but I know he doesnt have a whole kit ready to go today. If there are LED out their that can do it, he can find them and make the kit. If he gets it done and there is enough interest I'll offer them as well. I sent him a heads up! Maybe just making an amber high power LED dome light and leaving the rest white would be a quick and easy solution?

BTW I talked to HPB he can get it but I think we are confusing colors maybe? Amber is the color of your front blinkers. Are you trying to mimic the color of your ambients which are a closer hue to redish orange? Perhaps you might want to look up the wavelength you are seeking out of the LED so we are all on the same page. Last edited by Jeff@TopGearSolutions; 08-11-2011 at 05:59 PM.. |

Yes redish orange. But not "red"
I'll go look up the color temp and update. Edit: Ok so I see you're point on orange-red... it would be 640-625. More to the cooler side of 625. But for sure not red |

The problem is it takes a lot of chemical/physics to turn out an LED that is a certain wavelength let alone brightness and all the other specifications/demands/goals needed. Take into consideration that some colors wont be as popular as others and what you get is a limited amount of colors readily available in high output. In our case even less in high output and canbus form; as that is still a technology that is new and still being optimized as well. If you do source any bulb that fits your needs for any part of the interior kit let us know. So far the only thing close to what your asking for is the red, which will probably the closest to match what your looking for and in my opinion might look cool. However, I wont know until I see it in person. Next time I meet up with HPB i'll try a set and see what it turns out like. Hopefully its a "dull red" with an orange hue, which might be perfect as that is what the stock ambient light is. The difference with them is that they are not designed at all for high output and not as easily attainable from my understanding and conversation with HPB. They are the experts so I'm still learning the tools of the trade. We havnt given up yet though. I only asked so far what he KNOWS he can get but he can still look around for other options. He can talk to some manufactures and give them specifications and have them custom built perhaps. Actually doing such would have a large up front cost so demand would need to be high. This is actually a BRILLIANT idea! To make a LED interior set that matches the ambient light? Seriously, I would buy a set in a heartbeat! Never thought of it.

Jeff, what can we set up for a blue interior kit. Only really looking for the interior lights that come on automatically, not the map lights. PM me and let me know man!
