speakers not working

Hi, my speakers have just stopped working.
I swapped fuses around, but it made no difference.

Also, when I put the fuse in, there were some small sparks, is it normal?

Any idea what I have to check? In the boot? Under the bonnet?

Thank you.

ps: as some will have guess, I am a new bmw owner (2003 model) and I have virtually no experience in cars.

why the heck did you do that for? a spark mean you have a blon fuse. So check the fuses tht was making the spark. You sure you got the right amp fuse when you switch fuse? again, i dont understand why you switch fuse when things are working fine.

well, thing is I just wanted to know if the fuse was right or not. so I just took another one with the same amps and changed it.

But the speakers were still not working with the other one (excepted if I messed it up and put the same one in place).

So it is the fuse then?

my guess is it has to be the fuse. speakers dont just go silense. there are many tools out there that you can buy to test fuse. But fuses are so cheap that you can just buy a mix bag and plug a new one in. GL.

Or if you are near a dealer, let them mess with it unless you dont like other ppl messing with your car and you are technical enuf to mess with car eletrical or mechanical issues.

If you own an 03 model...why not search on E46fanatic for better results?
