Email Marketing Companies
Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend a decent email marketing company? Looked at Pure360, Newzapp, Dotmailer etc all seem pretty good and offer what we need. Just wondered if any members use anyone. Will be sending out anywhere in the region of 50,000 - 100,000 newsletters, mail shots, etc every two to four weeks. We design the emails / templates in house so more bothered about the tracking / analytics then anything. Cheers |

I've used a few over the past 5 or so years
Graphicmail was the cheapest, very limited in features at the time, as our list grew, their interface go a lot slower and often error-ed. This was around 800,000 - 1million emails We moved to pure360 and stayed with them till we hit around 2.5million emails before we moved as they couldn't scale. Basically we needed to make sure all x million were delivered within an hour or so, they couldn't send out quick enough, but their delivery rate was slightly better than graphic mail as it turned out. Their system had more features. We are now running at 5million emails several times a week and use a company called smartFocus which are excellent. At the time, graphic mail were good value, sacrifice slightly poorer delivery rate, both in speed and inbox hit rate, but much cheaper. I would recommend pure as an all-round for normal volumes, ring sales and ask for Lucy (if she still works there). She is VERY enthusiastic, which sometimes can be slightly annoying, but the energy she has when you need something solving is the advantage. We got a discount on unit cost per email batch and they also gave us a 3 month trial. ... Just to clarify All track send volumes, delivery rates, basically open rates and bounce rates, then invalid email addresses etc. But as i say, pure and smartFocus had a higher delivery rate. Perhaps they have better whitelisted servers or something. The added benefit of pure was visual heat maps (can't remember whether that was an extra?). It basically overlays a count heat map over the links so you can see where people click. You can track where people multi click. Anyway, she will sell it better. And at the time, it was much easier to load a template into pure360. Just a few clicks, you can choose to externally host, but i would always recommend using their FTP for images and loading the template through their editor. With volume sends it can hammer your server. Last edited by briers; 08-16-2011 at 04:12 PM.. |
