LOL woman drives up a telepole

I saw this this morning on my way to work. Apparently she was about to turn left but was startled by an on coming car and decided to drive up the telephone pole. Just thought I'd share with you guys.

Driver was perfectly fine and walked away without a scratch.

How the hell did it get up that high? You would think it would just hit the base and crunch.

Gotta love that 50/50 weight distribution. Front heavy = probably falling down as she tries to get out. Also, beware of a TiAg pre-LCI E60 in WA

Looks like she drove up the wire support.

If you guys look there is a curb and obviously her wheels were turned at the perfect degree to make her front end airborne and landing on the pole in a spot where her momentum carried her up the pole even with the rear bumper dragging. . .

I remember seeing this Honda civic teeter tottering over a concrete barrier with no damage to the body or anything. . .

This is very likely what happened. Years ago, an ex-colleague totalled a car at less than 20 mph. He was fiddling with the dials of his radio, veered to the side of the road and hit a tree with the front right of the car. The tree became lodged between the body of the car and the front right tyre. Unfortunately, he had a front wheel drive Ford Fiesta - seconds later, the car was on its roof and he had to explain to his father why the car wasn't in the driveway. Not a nice talk either since he didn't even have his license yet.

Ah, memories

Marlon

no...you can see the wire cable used to tether the pole from the front bumper going underneath to the back of the car where it anchors on the ground.
