My license plate bulb wires were cut off

A couple weeks ago I noticed that my license plate bulbs weren't working, and I'm pretty sure they haven't been since I bought the car back in November. I dropped it off for service today and I get a call back an hour later saying that the wires have been cut...

My SA told me he would need to completely re-wire them back into the car, and since it's not a warrany job it would cost me $275. Is there any other option/shop I can go to for this type of job?

it should take you all of an hour tops to buy wire from autozone, strip the cut ends, tie everything back together and heatshrink it for safety..

unless your not mechanically inclined at all

If I were you I would just strip the wire ends and solder them back on...buy some wire if they need to be extended...

Or use quick connects and just tap the existing wires together with a short wire.

You just clamp them onto the wires. No splicing needed. If the existing wires reach, you don't even need to use more wire. But I would and extended them around the area that cut the wires in the first place.

You can buy these at radio shack.
