Question 2007 335i Intake Silencer?

Might be a stupid question, so I apologize but does the 335i have an intake silencer? if so where would it be located for removal?

thank you.

I recently put in the BMS Dual intake but the spool hiss is VERY hard to hear....way too low and really need to stomp on the peddle. Is there another way to increase this spool sound?

^ I agree I put my BMS DCI on first before anything else and couldnt hear a thing, now I have one of the lowest tunes you can get the SSTT and I hear it much better.

Tune would help the most but I noticed increase spool noise from DP's as well.

The turbo spool on my car is very pronounced, I have had people ask what the whoosing noise was when riding in my car with the windows down.

You also can hear your DV's, or BOV, vent clearly with the boost up.

No, no... Keep the MF, you don't want your fan to be filled with muck.

This is the ultimate to-do-list for a really audible turbo-swoosh and DV-sound:

- Install a DCI

- Get rid of the cowl

- Get rid of all the seals around the engine bay that seals against the hood

- Get rid of the carpet which is mounted on the backside of the hood

- Remove the re circulation hoses that goes from the DV's back to the intake and plug the connections

Yeah you want to run the MF.

This is VERY sold advice... if you can't be hassled to do this... just remove the cowl with the DCI... I think it should be enough.
