How to fix this........??.......FIXED!!
Hi all, im getting what is probably just wear and tear on the bolsters of my leather seats and would like to know what everybody else does to treat this and hopefully make it invisible?
Its on the driver and passenger seats on the outside edge - so its caused by rubbing getting in and out by the looks of it, doesn't look nearly as bad in the pictures, but its very noticeable, the first thing people see getting in. I have some autoglym leather care balm which i have used on every bit of leather in the car but not often, the car is only 2 years old. Its black Dakota leather btw.... Thanks in advance Last edited by Osian85; 09-03-2011 at 03:13 PM.. |

My Missus SLK had this, I used a scotch pad and lightly buffed the little tears off, then re dyed the area.

Scuffmaster and the Gliptone leather care products are perfect for sorting your seats out.
I renovated a pair of E36 Sport seats with this and it worked a charm. |

Right, another job I did today, bought some of that Gliptone Scuffmaster and it is BRILLIANT stuff, so simple to use, took about a minute to do and works perfectly, cant recommend it enough
Basically apply in small amounts, neat, onto your scuffs/scratches with a toothpick then apply some diluted with water with the sponge provided to blend it in, then buff it off with a cloth - easy! You can even apply it to the whole seat with a sponge to solve bigger problems should you need to. The whole job looks amazing and the crappy iphone pics don't do it justice. So once again thanks for the recommendation, and hope this post helps others.... |
