Fuel Injector Cleaner

I always fill up by my work in babylon before going home b/c it's so much cheaper... anyways i've always added fuel injector cleaner after every 3-5K miles. I did it for the first time yesterday and what a difference. You guys every use it? I use to throw a bottle in my old car religiously actually fixed a check engine light once in my benz. I used STP but that's b/c i ran out of the Lucas stuff which i prefer... The gas tank in our cars are weird, i would suggest using a stick or a old pen to open up the gas tank while you pour in the cleaner only b/c it's hard to reach.

The car feels a lot smoother and the response is much better. Give it a try worth the few bucks.

The one i used was by STP, a black bottle... i usually go with Lucas tho but STP works great also. I don't think it's a waste of money, you feel the difference right away and it's a few bucks why not? and u get better performance and gas mileage.

i agree ive been using the lucus in my e90 330i with 118k on it, since ive been using it i havent had the variable rpm at idle which was very annoying before. Could just be a placebo but not having the rpm needle moving that tiny bit at idle is enough to justify the cost.

I don’t know why people insist that this stuff does not work on DI engines.
My car sometimes runs ruff on heavy load; it feels like it skips a beat, when I use the fuel injector cleaner it fixes it for a couple of months.
We understand the valves itself won’t get clean but the injector that sprays fuel would clean itself, and that is good enough for the improvement.
I need meth to permanently fix the problem. Soon enough

Just put some techron fuel system cleaner in. Hopefully it works. I've got 65k miles on my 335i.

Dumped some in last week as I'm scheduled for an oil change next week-had a fill up or 2 since. I don't notice my car running any smoother really but I've lost about 1.5mpg average since : Down from ~17 to 15.3 indicated as of today. I'm curious what it will be after the oil change and mpg reset.

it should'nt make your mpg go down... if anything it should help. did you check your air filter? and tire pressure? also spark plugs may be worn...

Absolutely..every 5K i use techron..last time I tried BG44K..started after my first and only HPFP failure at 8K Miles..now have 19K miles have not had another HPFP or any injector problems.. maybe a coincidence maybe not..either way Im stickin to it

Slightly???..it so slight as to be non-existent..nothing compared to running a concentrate, maybe a waste for an e34 : but money well spent on an n54 engine IMO..even BMW manual recommends using BMW branded techron every 5K miles

Tire pressure is the same...doubt air filter or spark plugs have changed in the past week. I have 19k as of today, so there really isn't an explanation. I'm guessing the sudden drop has something to do with the Tachron. Hopefully it will go back up after I change my oil...I've really noticed the mpg decrease in driving.

Side note: 328 owners CAN get blipped downshifts through a sudden and violent stab of the gas pedal...discovered this several weeks ago. The more you do it, the more the car seems to learn that is what you want and to execute accordingly. However, I was getting 17mpg while doing it before so I doubt that is the reason for the drop

It will clean your fuel system.(pump, injectors) what it wont do is clean the intake valves due to direct injection configuration of the n54 vs port injection on other cars
