Still nothing.... after a three weeks.

Its been over three weeks and still no production time date. It has "started" (whatever that means), but thats about it...

Patience is hard to come by for a nice vehicle.

Same thing happened to me man. Stuck on 150 for about 3.5 weeks. As of yesterday my car is expected to be completed by August 31st. It'll happen. Be patient and know you are cooler than 95% who buy off the lot!

Waiting is the hardest part, but its worth it to get exactly what you want! Its strange that it took so long to start, maybe they're waiting for parts?

Why are you sweating it? Are you using the phone status? A few things to think about:
1. I think the factory has been closed for the past two weeks and probably the next week. I am thinking no one should expect much status change until or after then.
2. The phone system can be a few days behind in accuracy.
3. You have a wait no matter what. The car isn't coming tomorrow. Keep yourself busy in the meantime by doing something else.

I've been researching the suspension section, what to get for winter wheels/tires, etc

umm, doesn't BMW shut down productions for 3 months every year? Vacation time for workers?

Aren't some e90's produced in South Africa? Could yours be one of those?

Could be worse, friend. I place my order on May 28th, got my product number on June 6th and production finished on July 20th. Hang in there. The wait sucks, but once you get your car delivered it's beyond exciting.

No, my car is in Germany. You can tell by the VIN. My car finished production today and was released

That is an absurd amount of time. It should take 8 weeks.

Hmm, well I guess my production completion date is similar to Mr Pig's. I ordered mine beginning of August. Began production only a few days later. Won't finish production until September 7th according to the phone message

Why do I feel other other people's vehicles are moving faster than mine...? I ordered mine in the beginning of August, but I didn't get a quote of when ETA will be. I don't think mine will be done until end of October. What the hell?

Are you calling the 1-800 number or are you using the BMWUSA owners club thingy? From my understanding 1-800 is more acurate and is updated more frequently.

And yes, it took 3 months less 4 days from order to delivery.

I am trying both. When I call, I get "in production, no ETA."

When I do it on the website I get some sort of message.
This is what I get every time I put in my #... SINCE DAY 1.

My car is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel.

Time between beginning of production, and waiting for a shipping vessel approx. ~7 days.

Well aren't you a big jerk! lol

So after my car went into the body shop, your car began production, completed, and made it the port already.. while mine is still in the body shop

It means I can obsess over the next part. I think it will finish production before the week is over. The next part is the fun part I've heard... waiting at the dock

Correct, usually the delays happen after the car is already built.

Delay waiting for a truck to drive the car to the port in Bremerhaven.

Delay waiting for shipping vessel.

Delay at port of entry.

Delay at VPC.

Finally at your dealer.

I am in the hardest part now, waiting for a shipping vessel and the slow trip to the west coast!
