Thumbs up Helix | Helix Clutch Stop review and DIY

Hello again,
A few months back a member of our team at Helix said that I needed to try this new clutch stop that he installed in his 1 series. He said that it would greatly decrease the slack and deep play I feel on my clutch pedal and shifts would feel easier and smoother. SO today, I finally installed a clutch stop on my 3 series, as well as Eric (the big cheese') car. I took mine out for a spin and I was actually pretty impressed. If you have driven a manual BMW you know already that the clutch pedal goes all the way to the floor but then catches about half way up. What this clutch stop does is replace the small, practically pointless clutch stop, with a much larger and wider one. The mechanical side to it is quite simple, it doesnt allow the pedal to travel further than it needs to to disengage the clutch so as soon as you let the clutch pedal back up it engages. Its really such a simple little mod that really makes quite a difference. I can see this coming in handy when im stuck in traffic for hours and holding down the clutch starts getting tiresome. Its kind of pathetic that my leg gets tired from that but it does happen and im sure it happens to many of you as well

Take a look, we will be selling them on our website for only 20$. Here are pictures of where they are installed as well as the stock clutch stop and the upgraded one.

Yep, these clutch stops definitely help. I simply switched to an auto though!

I actually took mine off as I attributed some early aftermarket clutch wear to it as most aftermarket clutches engage lower than stock...but for those on a stock clutch this is great
