Oil leak in crank seal and shredded serpentine belt
I own a 2007 335i that went out of warranty a few months ago. I was wondering if it was common for just the serpentine belt to be shredded and for there to be a leak in my crank seal?

The Power steering pulley comes in contact with the subframe, then the belt is compromised and it eventually breaks. Then it will wrap around the crank and break the seal. I was able to catch mine before the catastrophic breaking of the belt. It is known to wrap itself around the crank and break the main seal. |
