After a 7 hour detail job...

Was getting sick of looking at all the swirl marks on my '06 330i and was also interested in really getting this sucker waxed up. While in Pep Boys I found this $40 paint restoration kit made by 3M. It involves 3 steps; Compound, Shine Restore, Wax/Protective. I took my good old time and made sure I did everything perfect (hence the 7 hrs), and the results were amazing...

That's my dad's X5 in the background there btw. Also, I'm having an M3 style vented hood painted and installed on September 12. Can't wait!

Awesome job!
I detail my cars myself too, so I know how much satisfaction you get when you're done.

Thanks! This was my first time self-detailing so yeah, that satisfaction was great.

Didn't have a drill attachment, but it had 3 pads, 3 liquids and very detailed instructions. Also came with some scratch remove pad but I didn't use that.

Looks great, but you should get some 15 mm spacers on your back wheels.

No, I actually didn't. My paint was still pretty smooth so I didn't find the need to.

Not at all. I have 20 mm's on my 2006 and look how it fills out the wheel well.
