cops can be chill, who would've thunk

the other day i took my front plate off at a friends house and 5 minutes later on my way home i got pulled over, the cop walks up and asks me if i know why i got pulled over, i told him that it was because i didnt have a front plate and its in the trunk and i can put it on if he wants. he told me not to put it on because the car looks better without it and he didnt want me to scratch the paint. he told me to watch out for other cops and then told me he liked the car a lot. what i relief when you get pulled over to get complimented lol.

he was older but i didnt recognize him so maybe he was new either way he was the right guy to get pulled over by.

On i side note how many of you dont run a front plate and dont get in trouble for it?

Ha. woord they pulled me over several times for "noise violation" at varrying times of day(from 4 to like 4) and they always shine the flashlight around, sniff, and sobriety tested me once for no reason at all. I don't drink and or smoke weed. Although I have met a lot of nice cops.

err...suffolk county and nassau county cops are PAID. ok granted its not the money you can get in other industries, but still, they are well off.

idk about elsewhere but i don't think its easy to find a job that pays over 100k without a college education. id say most cops are in it for the money. at least around these parts.

about 5 years ago i had this cop in the next town over that must have had an eye out for my acura tl. at the time i had full exhaust and coilovers/rims, aspec lip kit etc w/ no front plate and one night he finally stopped me and wrote me 3 tickets. i came to find out he had a murdered 350z slammed on 19s/20s with no plate etc. some douche.

I got pulled over by a LI cop when I was visiting my parents/friends and I didnt have my front plate on either. He pulled me over for my exhaust being so loud at 2 am and my car had also just been hit in Philly and I was going to MAC to have them fix it. After what seemed like an hour he said nice car, get it fixed and drive safe.

My buddy i graduated college with is a State Trooper. He had a modded mustang all through college and is now really into the street bike scene. I guaruntee he would be one of those "cool cops" that would pull you over to look at your car or just give you a warning. Most of the time he lets people go by unless they are doing something really stupid. The cool cops are out there.

Had a friend with an STI, going pretty damn quick in NJ on the highway. State trooper in a supercharged SUV pulled him over and asked him to do some pulls. Friend was like "Wtf... your joking right? Your going to put me in jail if I do that." State troopers said "no, we wanna see how our car runs. We will put on our lights and do some pulls and then we will let you on your way."

His STI won. I still don't know if I believe that story but this guy doesn't usually tell stories like this.
