Estimate for repainting wheel hubs and calipers

Hey, I've been lurking on these forums for a while, but finally had a question I couldn't find an answer to so thought I would post and see if anyone could help out.

As mentioned in many other posts, my 2008 335i is getting rust on the hubs and I wanted to clean that up and repaint them so that they look all nice and shiny again. I went to a couple of auto body shops to get estimates (one recommended by a friend of mine, and one that was recommended on these forums).

The first place (recommended by my friend) quoted me $450 (remove rust and repaint front two hubs and all four brake calipers). The guy made a comment about how he normally charges $800 for painting all four calipers.

The second place quoted me $150 for the same work.

I'm worried that the second quote sounds too good to be true. Does anyone know if $150 is reasonable for this type of work, or is this estimate too good to be true and I should be cautious?

Thanks.

DIY!

Too easy not to DIY.

But to answer your question; 150 seems fair. 200 would be the most i'd pay.

Thanks.

I did look at doing it myself and unfortunately with where I live I don't have the space to be able to do it (although in the future I do plan to do it myself)

Seriously that first quote is ridiculous. $150 still seems a little pricey but still reasonable.
