Service light
Yesterday the service light came on which I believe is for the first MOT as the car is August built but September registered.
But when I bought the car in March this year the dealership did the MOT as part of AUC regulations. Now the question is how to get rid of this light ? as it come on whenever I start the car. Can it be switched off by myself or do I need to take to my local dealer ? and are they going to charge for switching it off ? Please advice. |

Sounds like the dealer forgot to reset the computer when they did the MOT. If they are handy, pop in and ask them to do it, if not I'm sure someone will tell you how to soon.

Per the above: But also: set the car date to whatever day/month the MOT was done before doing the reset, then change the date back again.
Otherwise it'll reset it to one year from now and still not the correct date  This is only applicable to the MOT one.. Others are condition based.
