Front Bumper

So I am an idiot... While at a stop light a bug bit me in the leg and my front bumper barely tapped this F350's tow hitch. I back backed back up and it ripped of my front license plate bracket and plate. It did manage to put a decent scratch on the bumper.

I am looking to either just buy another bracket and mount it, or buy a whole new bumper and bracket.

Is the BMW aerodynamic kit bumper the M Sport kit bumper?

Thanks

I bet the guy in the F-350 was just sitting there looking out of his rear view mirror laughing. The answer to your question is yes, or at least I think so. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually i dont even think the F350 drive noticed. A regular bump will cost about $450 new + paint + labor. so im thinking liek $650-750 If the performance bumper is $200 more... why not.

At least for pre-LCI e9Xs, the aero kit and m-tech kit were different (the m-tech was more $). I believe for some of the newer years, one of these kits isn't available yet, but I could be wrong. Might want to contact your dealership.

BMW says 1000 for a new painted front bumper. Are body shops able to repair scratches on plastic bumpers? The scratch is actually into the plastic.

I got my LCI msport front bumper off eBay, used for $350 shipped to my door from England.

4 license plate holes and 2 scratches needed to be repaired so it was a steal.

My friend painted it for $200 but normally he charges $400.

So about $750 if you find the right deal on a bumper.

It may be easier just to get the bumper repaired. Its not that bad of a scratch. Its fairly dep though.

I just went thru this, as far as nomenclature goes. The M Aero kit from BMW is THE mtech kit on pre-LCI e90.

I bought my M Aero kit from Tischer and Evan was awesome, explaining all the nuances with the naming of kits.
