335i FBO + meth vs. M3 E46 Active Autowerke supercharged

Me against the most powerful M3 E46 in Greece.

M3 is supercharged with meth and 440 rwhp.

Mine, FBO + Meth + 6-14

First pull, me standing on the wrong lane:

second pull gets interesting until 250 km/h :

Other cars: two M3s ESS supercharged, an unknown and modded Evo 9 and camera inside a tuned 996 turbo S.

The M3 is very fast, especially at high speeds where it gets its max power over 7000 rpm. It has also SMG 2.

I think now with rev. 3, leaner AFRs (stuck to 10.8 when hitting WOT) and after installing my 250 psi meth pump and M10 injector I could stand better.

You can have those AFR adjusted. I dont know the specifics but you need to change the closed loop fuel settings. Better off contacting vishnu with a datalog.

Nice runs

7-11 feels much better than 7-29 maps. Well at least with my car. 7-29 just doesn't work right with my rev 2.5. Wastegates keep getting jammed
Great videos and runs!

could be using the wrong map... if you use an AFR map that has 2 point swing with 3 point capability tune then you'd be 1/3 richer. Not completely sure though.

Me either. Rev. 3 could be leaner like rev. 2 (11.8) with 7-29 map. It must be the new hardware that calculates the mixture in a different way. I wish I could run low 12s, the car would be faster and that is not that risky for the engine.

No, please don't start that talk. this is irrelevant to that thread purpose

Thanks.

There are some settings regarding fueling and ignition control but it would be too risky adjusting them.

7-29 are faster. But better fueling is something I'm waiting from Shiv. hopefully he will try resolving that.

because we wanted the cars to be as light as possible, thus racing them without other passengers.

did you try running the 7-29? load them and do some logs. I had very fat AFR as well with older maps and lots of meth.

I was running 7-29 both at rev. 2 and rev. 3

rev 2 18.5 psi run, AFR 11.8-11.9 and a lot boost tapper:

rev 3 18.5 psi run, AFR 10.8 and less boost tapper:

So, where is the difference? Same settings, same ambient temperature, rev. 3 not hitting 14 degrees of ignition advance but feels much faster due to less boost tapering and hitting boost in lower rpm.

Really don't know how to explain.

Any suggestions?

were/are you running the right maps depending on the type of rev a/b/3 you are using? If yes i guess there is a need to modify the fueling in yours and lean it out a bit. Send the logs to Shiv and wait for an answer.

I think he's running rev2 maps with rev3 to get the richer mixture. Easy to confirm of course.
