I remember seeing a thread about SSK and supposedly no company has come out with anything yet. Although i do remember a member being close friends with the owner or someone at Rogue and they have yet to start developing a SSK. Hopefully that person will chime in. I dont remember who it was.

I just posted a similar thread the other day...
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57461 Seems like RE doesn't have anything in the works yet.

I have one, but given you are only interested in answers from 335 owners, and I only have a 330, I'll refrain.
kidding. Hello? lots of E9x's around the world and here with different engines, wouldn't the SSK kit be the same for all? we should call this the 335 forum. |

I e-mailed Rogue Engineering on October 2006, asking about SSK availability for the E92. See the answer from Ben Liaw (I think he is the co-founder):
Hello,This implies that the kits for the E90 325/330 are not compatible. |

B&M has a short shift kit that reduces throw by 30%. I had on on my 911 Turbo and it was night and day better.

I'm waiting for RE and UUC to come out with one. Both are still under development.
I'm really interested to see which one is better in terms of removing the notchiness when shifting and overal vibration. RE's products are great, but I see they use a thermalplastic material called Ertalyte TX, whereas UUC uses metal for the pivot ball and bushing. I'd like to try out Rogues first since it seems to me that the material they use dampens the vibrations considerably while giving a smooth engagement. Hopefully they'll come out with one by EOY. |

After putting the shorter, weighted, M-shift knob on my car I no longer feel the need for a short throw shifter even though I would kill for one before I swapped out my shift knob. Have you guys tried a shorter knob yet?

I really like the stock feel with the shorter knob.
It's perfect for me.

planning on getting both. knob mainly because i dont like the aluminum trim on the oem one. the old e46 zhp one is leather, shorter, and weighted so that sounds perfect. i will start with the knob then get the ssk. after driving an s2k i want to get as close as possible to how it felt lol

+1, that along with the CDV are all I need. I think it shifts just fine, really not that long of shifts and the feel is right on par.
