E92 M5 kit from Tokion/E92kits for 335i...

First off...thanks for Tokion for getting the kit out in time for bimmerfest 2007 next week! =)

Spent almost two hours at customs getting it cleared...then another hour at UPS freight getting them to dig it out of their warehouse...then strait to the bodyshop...there's not much time left...only 9 days left to get everything done!

I showed the kit to the shop...and they said it was one of the best fiber glass kits they've seen so far...no visible "holes" on the surface so no prep work was necessary...

A test fitment would be best but there's just no time from now until bimmerfest...so we'll have to cross our fingers...but I have high hopes for this kit...

The mesh also looks very good...better than the other kits i've had in the past...

On to the rear...I was really worried about this one...I really didn't like how the rear looked in most of the pictures...I was afraid that it buldges out too much...

But it turns out it's just the shadow that gives it that effect...if u look at it from the side its actually very nice...

Also the rear PDC holes were cut...but there are no brackets...so I am going to have to think of something before next week...no biggie though...

And the CF diffusor is just off the hook...I didn't take any pix of it today...I shall save it for the final...

And then the sides...

I guess these come off of the M6...It's still coming out a little more than I was hoping but I think these are the first revision...not sure have to ask Tokion...

Anyway...those are my honest opinions...we'll see how the paint turns out!

I really was interested in this until I found out they only had it in fiberglass... hopefully it stays good! The look is awesome!

Why did the fiberglass turn you off? Isn't OEM fiberglass as well?

Oh ok. I read JLevi write in a previous post that OEM was fiberglass so that's what I thought.

What are the advantages of polyurethane over fiberglass? Or the drawbacks of fiberglass?

Fiberglass is typically more brittle and could crack if you hit the lip hard enough on a speed bump or curb.

But I can't wait to see the final, especially in AW as someone said above!

One thing about aftermarket fiberglass is the possibility that it doesn't fit and costs a huge amount of money to make it fit. For polyurethane, it is flexible and easy to adjust. Like mentioned above if it gets hit it will crack real bad like a windshield crack! This coming from a body shop owner not me, my friend.

Didn't you guys sell some spoilers that were similar to the e90 that was polyeurethane? I was looking to get those but didn't like the poly since it was too heavy. I was looking for fiberglass. I doubt I could hit wind that can crak those mo-foz.
